Budapest: Food, Fun, and Architecture

Elegant spires, towers, churches, and palaces populate the landscape of Budapest on what seems like every other block. I spent only a few days here but was consistently blown away by yet another architectural wonder that was built centuries ago every time I ventured onto a new street.

Budapest is a city that is as cheap as it is fun, and I particularly loved walking around the Danube River at sunset to see the historic center at its best. It’s unbelievable how gorgeous this city is and how much I enjoyed exploring and shooting the limitless number of beautiful sights there are to be found.

Scenes from a storybook

This city boasts some of the most unique constructions in Europe. The famous Orszaghaz, Hungary’s parliament building, sits along the Danube River and is a national icon. Next, Saint Stephen’s Cathedral is as impressive as it is huge, and its famous ceiling frescoes are featured here. And after that you see Fisherman’s Bastion, which is a castle that looks like a drawing from a fairytale. And the list goes on. The number of breathtaking sites you can explore in Budapest is staggering!

I greatly enjoyed my time in Budapest. These photos represent just a small portion of what this amazing city has to offer. Hungary’s capital is, in my opinion, one of the gems of Eastern Europe.
