About Me

Hello! My name is Nathan, an American photographer who is passionate about discovering the beauty of this incredible planet we call home and putting it on display for you to see.

Exploring the most remote locations I can find and uncovering every hidden gem possible is what makes me come alive! I use my camera to capture these places and create the images you see all over this site, and it’s my goal to use photography to inspire you by bringing these places to you. Showing off just how spectacular our world can be is my passion!

Photography is a tool that can be used to shape people’s beliefs, captivate, inspire, and break down misunderstandings that we may have. It immortalizes moments and places, and tells stories in a special way. This is a unique medium that demolishes stereotypes, educates, displays culture, and captures the delicate, fragile beauty of the world in a way that is especially powerful.

It’s my hope that my photography encourages you to visit these amazing places as well if you’re able to, and gain a greater appreciation for just how vast and beautiful this planet is!

The Gear I Use

  • Sony Alpha A7III
  • Sony FE 24-105 mm f/4.5 G OSS lens

I am a fervent advocate of Sony’s cameras and believe that the image quality and clarity of their Alpha series is unmatched by anything else currently on the market. No other cameras perform quite as well in as wide of a range of conditions as Sony’s Alpha series does, and I never cease to be amazed by the detail and quality of the images these cameras capture.

I like traveling light, and I choose my gear accordingly. The lens I currently use accomplishes that mission perfectly because, like the camera body itself, it provides the best quality images in a huge variety of conditions whether they are stormy or sunny, night or day, all the while leaving plenty of room left over for food, water, medicine, clothes, and all the other gear I need to take with me! While this kit I’ve got does have its limitations, in terms of being balanced while also providing best-in-market image quality, it’s very hard to beat and I can’t recommend it enough.
